The Beaches

Mauritius boasts some of the best beaches found on earth. The white sand is gently lapped by the stunning colours of the tropical indian ocean. Most Beaches are surrounded by coral reefs creating calm lagoons and warm waters. Hotels nearby make refreshments easily available. You will also find friendly and polite locals selling various hand crafted items, food, drinks and ice-creams.

Fishing

Mauritius is a world famous fishing destination where some of the biggest Blue Marlin in the world have been found. There are many professional big game fishing compainies in Mauritius and if that doesnt suit you then you could join in with the locals who regularly go on boat trips and bring home their catch.

Ile Aux Cerfs
To visit Ile aux Cerfs is to visit pardise at its best. Mauritius has many small islands surrounding it, all of which can be accessed by a short boat ride and Ile aux Cerf is the most popular. On the island you will find the most softest, purest white sand on earth and sea colours to match. The island consists of hotels, restaurants, bars and a market selling beach clothes, hand crafted items, ornaments and extraordinary sea shells.

Pamplemousses Botanical Garden
A visit to this historical heritage is compulsory. This world famous garden offers a diversity of plants. Amongst the most impressive sights is the huge pond concealed by the magnificent floating leaves of the Giant Amazon water lily. The flowers open white but fade into a dusky pink by the end of the second day

Chamarel Coloured Earth
The earths are particularly fascinating; created by volcanic rocks that cooled at different temperatures,beautiful patterns of color were formed on the exposed hillsides. And if you mix the colored earth together, they'll eventually settle into separate layers.

Black River Gorge National Park
At Plaine Champagne, the rainiest and largest natural area in Mauritius, admire the Black River Gorges, an untouched sanctuary for the fauna and flora of the island.

Casela Bird Park
This amazing Casela Bird Park is a rich and thick collection of 140 bird species spread all across the length and breadth of the bird park.

Domaine du Chasseur
The Domaine du Chasseur covers 2,000 acres. On slopes at a height of 300 to 500 metres live stags, deers, monkeys and wild boars live in a dense forest.
